What You’ll Do
This Registered Nurse — Inpatient Staff role supports inpatient clinical care for a confidential client in Baltimore, MD. You will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support continuous improvement efforts on the unit.
- Provide direct patient care, assessments, documentation, and medication administration consistent with state nursing practice and facility policies
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize changes in patient status, and escalate concerns promptly
- Coordinate patient care and discharge planning with physicians, case managers, and other caregivers
- Apply evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and support less-experienced staff and participate in unit-based education
- Maintain BLS certification (ACLS preferred) and stay current on specialty competencies
Qualifications & Requirements
Careertakes and our client require candidates to meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE accreditation) OR equivalent foreign nursing education with recognized degree equivalency where required
- Education / experience grade guidelines (used for level determination):
- Nurse I, Level I — ADN or Diploma in Nursing
- Nurse I, Level II — ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized experience OR BSN
- Nurse I, Level III — ADN/Diploma + 2 years (1 year at Level II) OR BSN + 1 year equivalent OR MSN
- Nurse II / Nurse III — BSN or higher with progressive specialized experience per posted grading criteria
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception: temporary appointment possible for candidates completing licensure requirements (see client policy)
- English language proficiency required for direct patient care
- Required certifications: BLS (required); ACLS preferred
- Preferred: 2 years acute care experience and 2 years telemetry experience; specialty certification preferred
Employment Details & Compensation
- Location: Baltimore, MD (onsite)
- Employment Type: Full-time; Contract
- Salary: $78,368 - $153,501 per year (range provided by our client)
