What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (Inpatient Mental Health) to provide evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric nursing care on an inpatient mental health unit. This role focuses on safety, recovery-oriented practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership in clinical situations.
- Lead and deliver competent, recovery-focused nursing care for patients with mental health conditions.
- Conduct nursing assessments, develop and document nursing plans of care, and monitor patient safety observations.
- Facilitate shift reports, warm handoffs, and nurse-led psychoeducational groups.
- Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques; lead responses to psychiatric emergencies when appropriate.
- Participate actively in mental health interdisciplinary treatment teams and environmental rounds.
- Supervise and mentor licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants as appropriate.
- Support quality improvement, competency development, and evidence-based practice initiatives on the unit.
- Maintain professional boundaries and ensure patient dignity and safety.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE accreditation accepted).
- Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.
Additional hiring/eligibility conditions:
- U.S. Citizenship required (non-citizens may be appointed only in limited circumstances per policy).
- Background and security investigation required.
- Drug screening (urinalysis) required for testing-designated positions.
- May be required to complete a probationary period and pre-employment physical.
- Must meet any additional onboarding documentation requirements (I-9 acceptable documents; note REAL ID rules effective May 7, 2025).
Preferred Experience
- Prior inpatient mental health or psychiatric nursing experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience facilitating groups, using therapeutic communication, and working in interdisciplinary mental health teams is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits

- Estimated salary: $192,328 per year (estimated).

Work Schedule & Location
- Location: Keefeton, OK (onsite).
- Work schedule: Rotating day and night shifts (examples provided: 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and/or 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.).
