What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a competent Registered Nurse (RN) for an inpatient staff nursing role. In this part-time, contract position you'll deliver evidence-based direct patient care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and support nursing education and quality improvement initiatives on the assigned unit.
- Provide safe, patient-centered care following established policies and clinical guidelines
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient status, and document care accurately
- Coordinate care across disciplines to support patient education and self-management
- Supervise and support licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants as appropriate
- Participate in onboarding, orientation, competency assessment, and continuous improvement activities
- Apply critical thinking to prioritize care in complex and fast-paced inpatient settings
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice projects
Who You Are / Qualifications
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, BSN or higher)
- Demonstrated clinical competency in inpatient nursing (new grads with relevant clinical experience may be considered per program rules)
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Able to pass background checks, pre-employment physical, and required screenings
Requirements & Conditions
This role is subject to standard federal/public-sector hiring conditions. Candidates must meet the following before appointment:
- U.S. Citizenship is typically required; non-citizens may be considered only as allowed by policy
- Completion of any required drug screening and background/security investigation
- Acceptable identification for I-9 verification (note changes to acceptable IDs effective per federal guidance)
- Pass a pre-employment physical exam and required immunizations/vaccination policies
- May be subject to a probationary period and onboarding requirements
- Must meet English language proficiency requirements for direct patient care roles

- Location: Cheektowaga / Buffalo area, NY (on-site)
- Typical shift: Night shift (example: 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM) — confirm specific shift during scheduling

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary: $123,589 per year (estimated; actual compensation will be communicated by Confidential Client)
