What You’ll Do

This Part‑Time, Contract Registered Nurse (RN) will join the Inpatient Acute Care Resource Pool supporting multiple acute care units (medical oncology, cardiac, and medical‑surgical). As an ACRP RN you will be deployed across units to provide safe, patient‑centered nursing care and help maintain appropriate staffing levels.

Core responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the Nursing Process and established standards of practice
• Provide oversight and direction to non‑RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff
• Serve as a preceptor to new staff or students when requested
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility policies, Code of Conduct, and compliance procedures
• Provide care across diverse acute care settings (medical oncology, cardiac, med‑surg) and support patient transfers between units
• Participate in on‑call rotation and be able to report within required timeframe when called
• Adhere to ICARE values and deliver therapeutic, evidence‑based nursing care

Schedule & Location

• Location: Saint Francis / Milwaukee area, WI (onsite)
• Position type: Part‑time, contract (36 hours/week typical; 12‑hour tours)
• Shift: Night (NOC) — 1930–0800; includes weekend and holiday rotation
• Telework: Not available — this role requires on‑site clinical presence
• Travel/On‑call: Must be able to report on‑site within site’s required timeframe when on‑call

Actual pay and eligibility for benefits will be determined by the Confidential Client and may vary based on assignment, grade/level, and employment type.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered, applicants must meet the following:

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or D.C.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE accredited if applicable)
• English language proficiency (written and spoken)
• Ability to perform physical requirements of inpatient nursing (walking, lifting, bending, sitting)
• Ability to work required shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays) and participate in on‑call rotation
• U.S. citizenship or eligibility per applicable federal hiring rules (non‑citizen appointment possible only where recruitment of qualified citizens is not feasible)
• Subject to background/security investigation and pre‑employment screening (may include urinalysis/drug screening)
• Males born after 12/31/1959 must have Selective Service registration
• Acceptable I‑9 identity documents required (note: some client policies may require REAL ID compliance for driver’s licenses)

Additional compliance notes:

• This role may require completion of onboarding steps and training prior to clinical assignment
• If using foreign nursing education, official equivalency documentation may be required

Preferred / Helpful Experience

• Prior acute care inpatient experience (medical‑surgical, oncology, or cardiac)
• Experience as a preceptor or charge nurse
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfort working across multiple unit types and adapting to changing assignments
