This entry-level Registered Nurse position involves providing direct nursing care, developing and reviewing nursing care plans, and offering health care instruction to individuals and community groups. What You’ll Do
This role covers entry- through senior-level registered nursing duties across a casual/seasonal classification. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Provides or evaluates direct nursing care to patients.
- Develops, implements and/or reviews individualized nursing care plans.
- Provides health education and guidance to individuals, families, community groups and nursing facility staff.
- Maintains effective working relationships with interdisciplinary treatment team members.
- Prepares and submits clinical records, reports, evaluations and required forms.
- Participates in quality assurance activities and makes recommendations to improve care.
Qualifications
Note: This is a series posting. Applicants must select each level (I, II, III) they wish to be considered for.

Registered Nurse I
- Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license, Delaware temporary license, or a multi-state compact license.

Registered Nurse II
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing OR at least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Registered Nurse III
- At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing + at least 1 year RN experience OR
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing.
- Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse OR

Compensation & Schedule
- Estimated salary: $65,838 per year (estimated).
- Classification: Casual/Seasonal (non-pension eligible; may not include healthcare or other benefits).
- This posting may close on or before 02/26/2027 upon filling the vacant position(s).
Conditions of Hire & Additional Details
- All new hires are required to attend an in-person statewide New Employee Orientation on their first day; location will be in Kent or New Castle County.
- Pre-employment drug testing is required upon conditional offer.
- A satisfactory criminal background check is required; the recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the check as part of a conditional offer.
- This position is represented by an exclusive bargaining representative (union), and terms are subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
