Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Geriatrics & Extended Care in Prescott, AZ. This is a full-time, contract opportunity with a listed salary range of $87,530 - $158,421 per year. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, veteran-/patient-centered care in an extended care or long-term care setting.

What You’ll Do

As an RN in Geriatrics & Extended Care you will:

• Provide direct patient care to older adults and long-term care residents
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to scope of practice and policy
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the clinical team
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and support transitions of care
• Document care, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and self-care
• Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development activities

Qualifications

Required:

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse (RN) in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE), or equivalent as described below
• English language proficiency sufficient to perform job duties in written and spoken form

Education/grade guidance (used to determine level/grade placement):

• Nurse I, Level I: Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing
• Nurse I, Level II: ADN/Diploma plus 1 year of specialized nursing experience OR BSN with no additional experience
• Nurse I, Level III: ADN/Diploma plus 2 years professional nursing (one year equivalent to Level II) OR BSN plus 1 year equivalent to Level II OR MSN with no additional experience
• Nurse II / Nurse III: BSN/MSN/Doctoral degrees with required specialized experience per level — see the full qualification standard for details

Additional pathways and notes:

• Individuals in master's-level bridge programs who have completed coursework equivalent to a BSN may be considered for temporary appointment while completing the program
• Graduates of foreign nursing programs may qualify with current, full, active registration in a U.S. jurisdiction; higher-than-associate foreign degrees require formal equivalency validation
• Grandfathering and Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exceptions may apply per applicable qualification rules

• Heavy lifting and carrying (45 lbs and over) on occasion
• Straight pulling and pushing; reaching above shoulder
• Use of fingers and both hands required
