What You’ll Do

This Registered Nurse (RN) — Float Pool role supports outpatient clinics across the Denver metro area. You will provide high-quality nursing care, assist physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs), and act as a patient liaison. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms and prepare them for physician visits
  • Perform telephone triage and provide patient education
  • Handle physician and pharmacy calls, and coordinate follow-ups
  • Take and record vital signs, medical history, and symptoms
  • Ensure medical charts and lab/test results are complete and available
  • Administer immunizations and minor treatments per orders
  • Report test results to patients as directed by the physician
  • Travel to alternate clinic locations as assigned within the service area

Work Location & Schedule

  • Onsite — Denver Metro / Aurora, CO area
  • Position can be Part-time or Full-time (flexible schedules depending on clinic needs)
  • Float-pool work may include coverage at multiple clinic sites across the system

Compensation

Anticipated pay ranges (job posting provides level-based hiring ranges):

  • Entry Level: $66,500 — $77,140 per year
  • Intermediate Level: $71,488 — $82,926 per year
  • Senior Level: $76,475 — $90,241 per year

Total compensation includes paid leave, employer retirement contributions, and other benefits listed below.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are tiered by experience level:

  • Entry Level
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN / ANCC)
  • Intermediate Level
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN / ANCC)
    • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
  • Senior Level
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN / ANCC)
    • Minimum of 4 years nursing experience

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • 1–2+ years of clinic or job-related experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • Specialty nursing certification (ANCC) where applicable
  • Experience with Epic, Kronos, and HealthStream
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Conditions of Employment

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA or equivalent)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Colorado
  • Maintain all required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
  • Must be able to work onsite and travel to alternate clinic locations as assigned
