What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Nurse for endoscopy/procedural services in Lexington, KY. You will provide safe, patient-centered nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities typically include:

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including assessment and education
• Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels during procedures
• Assist physicians and procedural teams with instrumentation and sterile technique
• Provide post-procedure recovery care and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection-control policies
• Participate in quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver Veteran/patient-focused care

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• English language proficiency as required for safe, effective patient care
• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation at time of completion), or equivalent foreign-education evaluation where applicable
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse (RN) in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
• Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception may apply for applicants actively pursuing licensure (temporary appointment rules apply)
• Ability to meet grade/level scope and dimension criteria (practice, leadership, professional development, evidence-based practice) as required for level assignment
• Willingness to complete any required pre-placement physical exam and immunizations, including annual Employee Health requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous endoscopy or procedural nursing experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced procedural environment and to manage competing priorities

Physical & Work Requirements

This role includes physical demands typical of procedural nursing:

• Visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, sit, bend, push and pull for extended periods
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers
• Potential exposure to infectious materials; use of appropriate personal protective equipment required
• Occasional exposure to patients with altered mental status or combative behavior
• Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations and adapt to shifting organizational needs

Compensation & Employment Details

• Location: Lexington, KY (on-site)
• Employment type: Contract, Full time
• Pay range (annual): $74,806 - $138,511 per year
