What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Community Living Center to deliver high-quality, veteran-centered nursing care in a long-term/extended care environment. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support clinical care, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Provide holistic, veteran/patient-driven nursing care in accordance with established standards and facility policy
- Demonstrate clinical judgment and deliver evidence-based care for clients with basic to complex needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan, coordinate, and evaluate care
- Use professional development and evidence-based practice to improve care delivery and outcomes
- Exhibit leadership in day-to-day clinical operations and in managing complex client situations
Qualifications
Minimum requirements (must meet at time of appointment):
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse (RN) in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE) OR equivalent foreign education with accepted degree equivalency where required
- English language proficiency sufficient for safe and effective performance in direct patient care
- Candidates in an approved master’s-level bridge program who meet coursework equivalency may be appointed temporarily while completing licensure requirements (Graduate Nurse Technician exception applies; see notes below)
Grade/level and experience criteria (examples from qualification standard):
- Nurse I, Level I — Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing
- Nurse I, Level II — ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized experience OR BSN with no additional experience
- Nurse I, Level III — ADN/Diploma + 2 years professional experience (one at Level II) OR BSN + 1 year professional experience
- Nurse II / Nurse III — BSN/MSN/MSN+experience or doctoral-level qualifications per grade criteria
Note: Specific grade/level assignment will follow the Confidential Client’s assessment using the Practice, Veteran/Patient Driven Care, Leadership, Professional Development and Evidence-Based Practice/Research dimensions.
Preferred / Helpful Attributes
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical practice and improving care processes
- Experience in long-term care, community living center, or veterans’ health settings
- Active participation in professional development or evidence-based practice initiatives
Compensation & Employment Type
- Employment type: Contractor, Full time
- Salary range (provided by source): $66,466 - $120,340 per year
- Compensation is based on grade/level and experience; benefits and additional pay elements (when applicable) will be outlined by the Confidential Client.
Location & Physical Requirements
- Job location: Sioux Falls, SD (on-site — Community Living Center)
- You will be asked to participate in a pre-employment medical/physical evaluation as part of the hiring process. Questions about specific physical demands or environmental factors will be addressed during evaluation.
