Position overview

This listing describes an Intermittent Registered Nurse (Community Living Center) role supporting a confidential client in Manchester, NH. The role focuses on delivering safe, patient-centered nursing care in a community living center setting. Appointments may be intermittent, contract, or full-time depending on needs and candidate qualification.


What you’ll do

  • Provide direct nursing care and clinical assessments to assigned residents
  • Administer medications and treatments following established policies
  • Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans
  • Document care and clinical findings accurately in health records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate veteran/patient-focused care
  • Support patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and coordinate with nursing assistants and other clinical staff as needed

What we’re looking for (required qualifications)

The confidential client requires candidates to meet federal and professional nursing standards. At a minimum, applicants must have:

  • English language proficiency sufficient for safe, professional patient care
  • Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) OR equivalent credentialing for foreign-educated nurses (degree equivalency accepted by recognized evaluators)
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
  • If not yet licensed, eligible candidates may be considered under a Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception (temporary appointment while pursuing licensure; see note below)
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the role; a pre-placement medical examination is required

Grade / level assignment (Nurse I / II / III) depends on education and experience:

  • Nurse I (Levels I–III): ranges from ADN/diploma through BSN/MSN with corresponding years of professional experience
  • Nurse II: typically BSN + experience or MSN with specialty experience
  • Nurse III: advanced practice/leadership level with MSN/Doctoral degrees and specialized experience

Note: GNT Exception — Candidates who meet education requirements but lack licensure may be appointed temporarily (generally 120 days, possible extension) while actively pursuing RN licensure.


Compensation & employment type

  • Salary range: $85,814 — $147,676 per year
  • Employment type: Intermittent / Contract (may be full-time depending on appointment)
  • Schedule: Intermittent/on-call shifts consistent with community living center needs
