What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Dietitian to deliver high-quality clinical nutrition care to patients in a hospital setting. You will provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, patient education and counseling, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to program development and professional education.
- Provide direct patient care using medical nutrition therapy for an assigned patient population.
- counsel and educate patients with disease processes requiring nutrition management.
- Develop, implement and document individualized nutrition care plans; establish follow-up and communicate plans to care teams.
- Recommend and write changes to diet orders; perform nutrient intake assessments.
- Assess for signs of nutritional deficiencies and evaluate fluid/electrolyte status.
- Review labs and clinical progress notes; notify physicians of nutrition concerns and recommended diet changes.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of dietetic technicians in your area.
- Create and revise patient and provider education materials; present education for physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, students and the public.
- Support dietetic internship rotations as a preceptor and instructor.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, committees and projects to improve care, expand services and support revenue goals.
- Market clinical services to referral sources and participate in clinical research and use of clinical software to facilitate care.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies (CMS, Joint Commission, ADA) and internal policies.
A caregiver in this position works days, 8:00am—4:30pm.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field.
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.
- Maintain current state license to practice dietetics (LD) — must be licensed in Florida.
- One year of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian; successful completion of a Dietetic Internship may substitute for experience.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams and to supervise support staff.
Compensation & Benefits
- This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500.

Physical Requirements & PPE
- Ability to navigate extensively throughout the hospital to provide services to many patients.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for computer entry and documentation.
- Physical ability to measure and weigh patients.
- Follows standard precautions and uses personal protective equipment as required.
