Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) specializing in Pediatrics to join their clinical nutrition team in Cleveland Heights, OH. This clinical role provides individualized medical nutrition therapy, patient and family education, and collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary medical team. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500.
What You’ll Do
- Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, counseling, and education to pediatric patients and families.
- Implement and document nutrition care plans; establish follow-up and discharge plans.
- Assess nutrient intake, identify nutritional deficiencies, evaluate fluid/electrolyte status, and review lab and clinical progress notes.
- Write and revise diet orders and inform physicians of nutritional status and recommended diet changes.
- Create and update patient and program education materials; participate in program development and outreach.
- Serve as a preceptor and instructor for dietetic internship supervised practice rotations.
- Work varying shifts with rotating weekend and holiday coverage as required by the clinical unit.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the applicable state (or ability to obtain).
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of clinical Registered Dietitian experience OR completion of an accredited dietetic internship (e.g., Confidential Client dietetic internship).
- Prior pediatric clinical experience.
- Experience as a preceptor or instructor for dietetic students/interns.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to navigate extensively throughout the facility to deliver care to multiple patients.
- Manual dexterity for computer entry and ability to measure and weigh patients.
Personal Protective Equipment
- Follow standard precautions and use required personal protective equipment when indicated.
Compensation
- Minimum Annual Salary: $52,270.00
- Maximum Annual Salary: $79,727.50
The pay range displayed reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors. The range does not include potential pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime) or the value of benefits.
