Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) specializing in oncology to provide medical nutrition therapy, education, and counseling for patients in a hospital setting. This role supports clinical nutrition services across inpatient units and contributes to program development, patient education, and dietetic training activities.

What You’ll Do

• Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and nutrition counseling for oncology patients.
• Implement, document and communicate nutrition care plans; establish follow-up and care transitions.
• Perform nutrient intake assessments, evaluate labs, fluids/electrolytes, and identify nutritional deficiencies.
• Write or recommend diet order changes and inform the care team of nutrition-related needs.
• Create and maintain patient education materials; assist in program development and marketing of nutrition services.
• Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns and support supervised practice and classroom instruction.

Schedule

• Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (as listed). Schedule may vary based on department needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Active Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Dietitian (LD) where required.
• At least one year of clinical nutrition experience OR successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship (per posting).

Preferred / Helpful Experience

• Prior experience in oncology or complex medical populations.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and inpatient nutrition workflows.
• Strong patient education, interdisciplinary communication, and program development skills.

Physical Requirements & PPE

• Ability to navigate the hospital to provide bedside services to multiple patients.
• Manual dexterity sufficient for computer entry and basic patient measurements (weighing/measuring patients).
• Follow standard precautions and use required personal protective equipment.

Compensation

• Minimum Annual Salary: $52,270.00
• Maximum Annual Salary: $79,727.50

The posted pay range represents anticipated new-hire compensation. Final pay will consider factors such as experience, education, and relevant skills. The range does not include applicable pay practices (shift differential, overtime) or the monetary value of benefits.
