Summary

Confidential Client is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive medical nutritional care for patients at an on-site clinical facility in Cambridge, MA. This is a per-diem / part-time contract role focused on patient care, nutrition assessment, care planning, education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do

• Manage comprehensive medical nutritional care for patients, including nutrition assessment, development and implementation of individualized nutrition care plans, dietary modification, and nutrition education.
• Document nutrition-related information thoroughly (assessments, therapy recommendations, care plans, follow-ups, consultations, discharge planning, and daily clinical activities).
• Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic diets and nutrition-related concerns.
• Collaborate with clinical and food-service teams to ensure meal plans, supplements, and nutrition support meet patient needs and comply with prescribed diets.
• Monitor patient menu selections and modify recommendations based on clinical data, physician orders, and interdisciplinary plans of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; note: for eligibility to take the RD registration exam, current CDR rules may require a graduate degree for new candidates (refer to CDR for current credentialing requirements).
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
• State Dietitian/Nutritionist license required where applicable.
• Completion of a dietetic internship required.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team.
• Experience guiding and educating diverse patient populations across the lifespan.

• Work shift: Day.
• Scheduled weekly hours: Variable / Per diem.
• Physical requirements (representative): standing and walking frequently; occasional lifting (assisted devices for heavier weights), carrying, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching and fine/gross manipulation; ability to communicate verbally and visually as required for clinical care.

Compensation

• Base/estimate shown in source: up to $84,656.00 / year (posted range indicates $ - $84,656.00). Actual pay offers consider experience, certifications, and other relevant factors.
