Registered Dental Hygienist
The Registered Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive oral health care in a private dental practice, performing patient assessments, preventative treatments, and education to promote oral hygiene. This role ensures strict infection control and supports efficient practice operations during standard business hours, working closely with the dentist to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and record dental and medical history
- Perform prophylaxis (teeth cleaning), polishing and periodontal maintenance
- Capture, process and evaluate dental x-rays as required
- Educate patients on oral health, home care and disease prevention
- Implement and follow strict infection‑control and sterilization protocols
- Assist the dentist with treatment planning and chairside support when needed
- Maintain and manage the patient recall/follow‑up system
- Maintain and troubleshoot dental instruments and equipment
- Provide clear, professional communication with patients and clinical staff
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene (or equivalent accredited program)
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing
- Experience with patient recall systems and routine recall management
- Proven ability to maintain instrument sterilization and infection‑control standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level to 2 years of hands-on dental hygiene experience
- Comfortable working in both full‑time and part‑time schedules
- Strong patient‑education and communication skills
Schedule & Compensation
- Employment type: Full time (posting indicates full‑time availability; part‑time may also be considered)
- Estimated compensation (source): $143,703 per year — negotiable based on experience and discussed during hiring (Adzuna estimate). Actual pay and benefits will be set by the confidential client.
