Registered Behavior Technician
The Registered Behavior Technician at Confidential Client provides direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children and teens with special needs, implementing individualized behavior programs under clinical supervision. What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking caring, energetic Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to deliver one-to-one ABA therapy to children and teens. This role focuses on implementing individualized behavior plans, teaching developmental milestones, and partnering with families and caregivers to generalize skills across settings.
- Implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs under BCBA/BCaBA or Tier 2 Case Manager supervision
- Provide direct 1:1 therapy using play-based, developmentally appropriate techniques
- Collect session data, enter records into an online system, and write session summary notes
- Teach and reinforce developmental, communication, social, and adaptive skills
- Respond to and minimize challenging behaviors with evidence-based strategies
- Coach parents, teachers, and caregivers on strategies to support progress across environments
- Communicate frequently and clearly with the clinical team to coordinate care
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay DOE — up to $30 per billable hour (as advertised)
- Estimated annual figure on source: $60,310 (estimated)
- Paid drive time and mileage reimbursement for eligible travel between clients
- 401(k) eligibility where applicable
- Training and support for RBT certification/in-process candidates
Qualifications
- RBT certified, or actively working toward RBT certification (training support available)
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, special education, or related field preferred
- At least one year experience working with children/teens (experience with special needs highly preferred)
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and car insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Bilingual candidates highly preferred (sign language is a plus)
- Strong empathy, patience, reliability, and a collaborative approach to care
Schedule & Location
- Part-time position with potential to grow to full-time
- Prime hours typically Monday–Friday, roughly 12:00 PM–6:30 PM; flexibility is required and late-afternoon availability is a plus
- Candidates within a ~30-mile radius of client locations are preferred; travel between client homes/clinics will be reimbursed as described above
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting to observe and interact with clients
