Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Regional Program Coordinator to lead community health and wellness programming serving teens across the greater Charleston region. This is an entry-level, full-time hourly role based in Morgantown, WV (telecommute with regular travel across the assigned region). The role focuses on supervising near-peer mentors, building school and university partnerships, delivering health education, and tracking program impact.


Compensation

  • Base salary: $41,600 per year (equivalent to $20.00/hour)
  • Full-time hourly position with a comprehensive benefits package (see Benefits section)

What You’ll Do

  • Train, deploy, and supervise near-peer college mentors from local universities to deliver the program in middle and high schools.
  • Coordinate and support delivery of health education activities, clubs, campus events, and community outreach.
  • Recruit and maintain relationships with school, district, and university staff, strategic partners, student wellness officers, and alumni.
  • Manage mentor scheduling, supplies, logistics, and program reporting.
  • Directly deliver lessons and events in school and community settings as needed.
  • Support promotion and communications, including social content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and prepare stakeholder reports.
  • Collect and report data to assess community needs and measure program impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience considered.
  • Recent college graduate or equivalent experience with a strong interest in health, education, or service fields.
  • Organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or interest in mentoring teens and building relationships across schools and campuses.
  • Passion for addressing health disparities and improving youth health outcomes.

Skillset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
  • Creative and willing to implement new, dynamic programming.
  • Growth mindset and commitment to professional development.
  • Able to respectfully engage with people of diverse backgrounds and identities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual candidates are a plus.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel up to 100 miles within the greater Charleston, West Virginia region; regular travel to area schools and universities is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Some afternoon, evening, and occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
