What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Regional Product Manager / Hospital Sales specialist to sell, support, and educate surgical customers on specialized surgical tables and support-surface products across an assigned territory in Kansas City, KS.
- Provide sales, clinical education, and on-site support for surgical tables, pads, and support-surface products.
- Conduct pad/table assessments and advise customers on replacements and best-practice utilization.
- Install, demo, and service products; attend surgical cases to support clinical staff as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, OR staff, hospital supply chain, and executives using a consultative "Trust Triangle" approach.
- Maintain a sales funnel in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) and pursue new business opportunities to meet or exceed territory quota for Support Surfaces.
- Act as the subject matter expert for the full product line and support new product launches.
- Represent Confidential Client at tradeshows, training courses, and partner learning events.
- Provide coverage for vacant territories when requested and participate in the company vehicle program.
- Maintain accurate expense reports and timely documentation of sales activity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and hospital leadership.
- Comfortable presenting to and training individuals and groups including physicians, RNs, OR staff, and supply chain teams.
- Clinical knowledge or experience in orthopedics, spine, or general surgical specialties preferred.
- Prior experience in medical device or hospital equipment sales and clinical support is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; CRM experience required (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability to function safely in an operating room environment and follow hospital protocols.
- Must live within 20 miles driving distance of the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance meeting company requirements.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%–60% within the assigned region; employee covers business travel expenses and is reimbursed per policy.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and move up to 150 lbs when uncrating and relocating equipment.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a clinical degree/certification preferred; related degree or equivalent experience accepted.
- Prior clinical experience (hospital or OR) preferred; prior sales experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $75,000 per year.
- Additional upside: quarterly bonuses, commission, comprehensive benefits package.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Regular verbal communication and listening.
- Frequent travel by car or air; significant time driving and working remotely from a home office is expected.
- Regular walking/standing in hospitals; occasional bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, or crawling to set up equipment.
- Some tasks require close and color vision.
