The Regional Lab Outreach Specialist is responsible for driving demand and sales of Confidential Client's molecular diagnostic products within the Northern CA, OR, and WA region. This role involves strategic account planning, customer engagement, product demonstrations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet sales targets in non-acute healthcare settings. What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Regional Lab Outreach Specialist to drive adoption of diagnostic and molecular testing solutions across a designated regional territory. This is a field-based role with remote/telecommute work combined with significant travel.
- Communicate long-term strategy and product value to customers, aligning solutions to customer needs.
- Serve as a regional subject-matter expert on molecular diagnostics and related offerings (HPV, Vaginal Panel, STI, Enteric).
- Work with local field teams and cross-functional pods to identify, qualify, and close new accounts.
- Develop and execute regional and strategic account sales plans involving multiple stakeholders.
- Call on prospective customers, present clinical and patient-outcome benefits, deliver demonstrations, and prepare proposals/quotes within company guidelines.
- Build demand through customer profiling, targeted outreach, and structured call schedules.
- Generate leads by representing the company at state, regional, and national meetings as directed by Sales Management.
- Participate in cross-functional product launch teams and capture best practices from centers of excellence.
- Complete assigned training and demonstrate proficiency on product knowledge and sales processes.
- Maintain administrative responsibilities: expense monitoring, call and funnel reporting, competitive intelligence, and proper stewardship of company assets.
- Follow OSHA and universal laboratory precautions where applicable.
- Travel: approximately 60–75%.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1+ years inside or outside sales experience or clinical experience.
- Proven self-motivation and ability to manage a complex sales cycle.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of current U.S. healthcare trends and ability to apply them to regional sales strategies.
- Demonstrated strength in territory management, account assessment, and relationship development.
- Willingness and ability to travel 60–75%.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA or BS in Life Sciences or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of medical sales experience preferred.
- Prior experience selling in Women’s Health, Point-of-Care, or other complex medical markets is a strong plus.
Compensation & Work Arrangement
- Base salary range: $83,100 - $133,000 USD annually, plus incentives. Actual offer will depend on experience, education, skills, and work location.
- Role is field/remote (telecommute) with regular travel and regional in-person customer engagements.
- Primary work location: Sparks, MD (home/field-based work expected across the assigned territory).
