Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Recovery Support Specialist I to join a residential Substance Use Disorder program on 3rd shift (night). This on-site position supports clients in active recovery by providing direct care, crisis support, group facilitation, and transportation when needed. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.


What You’ll Do

  • Maintain supportive, recovery-focused contact with residents to assess needs and encourage participation in program activities
  • Monitor client safety and respond to crises; notify supervisors immediately for incidents or suspected illegal activity
  • Facilitate treatment and recovery groups
  • Transport clients to appointments and community supports as needed (driver availability required)
  • Coordinate with clinical teams across medical, MAT (medication-assisted treatment), psychiatric and behavioral health services
  • Maintain required certifications and comply with licensing and agency standards
  • Develop trusting, strengths-based relationships to promote long-term recovery and community reintegration

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with psychiatric or substance-use treatment populations preferred
  • Reliable access to an automobile for client transport
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills; bilingual skills a plus
  • Ability to work 3rd shift (night hours) on a full- or part-time schedule

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $21.00 per hour
  • Benefits may include: 403(b) retirement plan, health/dental/vision/pet/life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 8 discretionary days, mileage reimbursement
