Receivable Analyst I
The Receivable Analyst I performs entry-level accounts receivable functions including cash application, account reconciliation, collections, and financial reporting under direct supervision. This role supports invoice-to-cash activities by applying accounting principles, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial processes within a Confidential Client.

What You’ll Do
You will join Confidential Client's accounts receivable team and perform entry-level AR tasks to ensure accurate cash application, reconciliations, and routine collections support. Under direct supervision, you will follow established processes, document exceptions, and collaborate with internal partners across invoice-to-cash activities.
- Apply customer payments, credits, adjustments, and other transactions to appropriate accounts; research unmatched or misapplied items and escalate exceptions.
- Perform routine reconciliations of customer accounts, AR subledger activity, cash receipts, and related general ledger accounts.
- Monitor aging balances and communicate with internal partners and customers to resolve straightforward discrepancies and support timely collections.
- Support month-end close tasks by compiling information for journal entries, account analyses, audit requests, and recurring reports.
- Identify and recommend practical improvements to processes or systems to improve accuracy, controls, or efficiency.
- Maintain complete records and comply with internal controls, accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and data-retention standards.
- Collaborate with commercial, credit, treasury, customer service, and general accounting teams to support invoice-to-cash activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience with accounting, collections, and/or account reconciliations preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to follow established processes and learn enterprise AR systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of foundational accounting principles, accounts receivable processes, cash application, billing, account reconciliation, and internal controls.
- Strong spreadsheet skills; ability to analyze transaction details and prepare reconciliations.
- Experience or aptitude for navigating enterprise resource planning (ERP) and accounts receivable systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to organize priorities and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial and customer information with discretion.
- Ability to research discrepancies, document findings, and recommend changes for review.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary office work with frequent computer/monitor use.
- May require occasional standing, walking, lifting (up to 10 lbs), reaching, and other light physical activity as described in the full job description.
- Typical environment: well-lit, climate-controlled office with routine repetitive motion tasks.
Compensation
- Expected salary range: $56,000 – $84,000 per year (as provided by the client).
