What You’ll Do

Confidential client is seeking an entry-level Radar Modeling & Simulation engineer to join a Foundational Systems Engineering team in Linthicum, MD. You will accelerate delivery of mission capabilities by building, integrating, and validating advanced models and simulations of platforms, sensors, and weapons — and analyzing their interactions with operational environments.

  • Utilize Modeling, Simulation, Experimentation & Analysis (MSE&A) using object‑oriented C++ design, advanced data structures, and test-driven development.
  • Develop large-scale data analytics, probability/statistics models, and apply design-of-experiments to evaluate system and mission performance.
  • Integrate simulation models with operational flight software; collect and analyze lab/flight test data and verify/validate simulation performance against test data.
  • Produce publication-quality reports and artifacts to support formal Verification, Validation & Accreditation (VVA) of simulations.
  • Build and extend system simulation frameworks, performance models, threat and command-and-control models.
  • Model operational environments, run trade studies, and recommend architecture alternatives based on simulation results.
  • Implement real-time simulation behavior, visualization tools, and advanced graphical user interfaces.
  • Perform operational and mission-effectiveness analysis; innovate to improve MSE&A products.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience programming in C/C++, Python and/or shell scripting (Bash, C‑shell) on Linux and Windows.
  • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and complex-valued signal data.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a final U.S. Government Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications

The following skills and experiences are strongly preferred:

  • Current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong C++ experience and familiarity with MATLAB for analytical modeling.
  • Domain experience simulating RF, EO/IR, communications, or related sensor systems.
  • Experience with real-time/reactive simulation software and high-performance computing.
  • Familiarity with statistics, design of experiments, predictive analytics, and HPC tools.
  • Experience developing and validating radar modes, adaptive signal processing, and optimal estimation theory.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Integration & Test processes.
  • Experience with DPC, CUDA, OpenCL, Verilog, VHDL, or domain‑specific languages.
  • Experience with Agile and/or SAFe methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $72,700 — $109,100 (annual). Offers depend on experience, education, skills, and market factors.
  • Eligible positions may include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus opportunities.

Clearance & Location

  • This is a full-time, on-site role in Linthicum, MD.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
  • This role is contingent on contract award and successful obtaining/transfer of a final U.S. Government Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access. U.S. Citizenship is required.
