Radar Development Engineer- Entry Level
The Radar Development Engineer at Confidential Client supports radar technology programs through modeling, simulation, hardware and software prototyping, and integration and testing of surveillance and fire control radars. What You’ll Do
- Support Radar Technology programs including modeling, simulation, and analysis; hardware and software prototyping; and development, integration, and testing of surveillance and fire-control radars.
- Model radar function, threats, timelines, weapon systems, clutter, and EA/EP environments.
- Perform radar and weapon-system analysis (probability of detection, waveform analysis, probability of intercept, defended-area calculations).
- Develop and test algorithms for detection, waveform selection, signal processing, clutter/EA mitigation, adaptive beamforming, and target identification.
- Work with RF hardware (transmitters, exciters, antennas, multi-channel and high-bandwidth receivers, processors) and RF lab equipment for development, integration, and test.
- Provide HWIL support and field-testing assistance when required.
- Prepare technical briefings and present results to customers, management, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Graduating GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- 0–5 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates encouraged).
- Strong fundamentals and excellent math skills in electromagnetics, signals & systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and controls.
- Demonstrated ability to apply theory to modeling, radar/weapons systems analysis, algorithm development, RF hardware, and test support.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Possess (or be eligible to obtain and maintain) a Final SECRET/SSBI clearance or equivalent Final SECRET clearance eligibility.
- Resident of the Triana, AL area or willing to relocate; this is a full-time, on-site role in Triana, AL.
Preferred Skills
- Object-oriented programming experience is a plus.
- Experience with MATLAB is preferred.
Travel & Physical Requirements
- Travel up to 10% annually.
- Prolonged periods sitting and working at a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to access and navigate facility departments.
Compensation & Employment Type

- Estimated salary: $56,690 per year (estimated).

- U.S. citizens only. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Final SECRET/SSBI clearance (or meet eligibility).
