What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Quality Technician (3rd Shift) to support food safety and product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on lab and QA experience and is a strong opportunity for candidates with QA/QC or laboratory exposure and for recent science graduates.
- Collect samples from production lines and perform routine quality inspections
- Conduct basic laboratory testing on food products and ingredients
- Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation practices, and food-safety controls
- Accurately document test results and maintain quality records
- Calibrate and verify basic quality and lab equipment
- Identify non-conforming product or process issues and report findings to production teams
- Support internal audits, investigations, root-cause activities, and continuous-improvement projects
- Help ensure finished products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Option 1 — Experience-Based
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, food manufacturing, lab work, or a GMP/FDA-regulated environment
- Knowledge of GMPs, quality systems, inspection methods, and documentation practices
Option 2 — Entry-Level / Recent Science Graduate
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific field preferred but not required if adequate experience
- Basic laboratory training or coursework, internships, or research experience
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
Additional Qualifications & Skills
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (onsite)
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility during a shift
- Clear verbal and written communication skills; strong documentation discipline
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or equivalent)
- Positive safety mindset and commitment to following SOPs
Schedule
- Initial training on 1st shift for approximately 4 weeks
- Permanent assignment to 3rd shift
- Rotating 2-on / 2-off schedule
- Every-other-weekend coverage required
Pay & Benefits
- Pay range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

This is a fully onsite position in Wellston, MO. You must be able to reliably commute to the facility.
