Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Quality Specialist (Entry) to support water and wastewater construction projects. This is a field- or shop-based role focused on coordinating, documenting, and executing quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities. The role supports project execution by ensuring materials, processes, and inspections meet contract documents, codes, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand project scope and applicable quality requirements and plans.
- Coordinate inspections and tests to align with project schedules and production goals.
- Perform and/or witness inspections and tests; document and report results accurately.
- Review and approve inspection and test results for compliance with contract documents, codes, and standards.
- Manage source and receiving inspections for permanent materials and equipment.
- Evaluate supplier quality documentation for contract compliance.
- Collaborate with operations to develop work packs that identify required inspections, tests, and documentation.
- Review work packs for readiness prior to pre-activity meetings and construction execution.
- Conduct verification inspections for designated risk levels and document acceptance.
- Prepare and maintain inspection/test reports and quality records.
- Monitor and forecast costs for third‑party inspection and testing services and report trends to management.
- Communicate quality status and test results to the project team and address client quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement and a strong safety culture on-site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field (0–2 years’ experience).
- Familiarity with construction-related quality control procedures preferred.
- Certifications such as ASQ, CQM, CQA, or CWI are a plus.
- Working knowledge of trades, inspection/testing techniques, and construction processes preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and time management.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to doing the job right the first time.
- Willingness to travel and relocate as needed based on project assignments.
- Commitment to safety and ability to work independently and in teams.

- Regular, reliable attendance and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, safety policies, and equipment procedures.
- May work overtime and weekends as required. Work conditions vary by project site and may include outdoor field environments.
- This is a field- or shop-based position; relocation may be required to support project needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated annual pay (as listed): $50,523 per year (estimated).
