What You’ll Do
The Quality & Safety Outcomes Coordinator is an entry-level role supporting performance improvement and patient safety activities. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to collect, validate, analyze, and report data used to prevent adverse events and improve quality across the organization.
- Work under the direction of the Quality & Safety Manager to support accreditation, regulatory compliance, facility certifications, and internal/external quality and value-based programs
- Build collaborative relationships across clinical and non-clinical teams to identify safety risks and improvement opportunities
- Support data management tasks: collection, validation, analysis, interpretation, and timely submission of internal and public metrics
- Monitor performance using incident reports, registries, and databases; develop recommendations to improve quality and safety metrics
- Apply basic safety science and process improvement tools (PDCA cycles, A3 problem solving) and fundamentals of high-reliability organizations
- Facilitate small interdisciplinary performance improvement groups to meet unit- or metric-specific goals
- Educate staff about safety culture, incident reporting, and basic quality improvement principles
- Participate in local, regional, and national safety and quality educational activities
- Complete special projects and perform assigned unit/department competencies as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in arts, science, nursing, or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of experience in the healthcare industry preferred (entry-level candidates with strong analytical and communication skills will be considered)
- Comfortable with basic data analysis, reporting, and using multiple data sources to inform improvement work
- Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to independently make decisions on routine issues and escalate complex concerns appropriately
Required Licensure & Certifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) — multi-state or state-appropriate license. Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas and Missouri required, if appropriate
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association (AHA)

- Estimated salary: $54,618 per year (estimated)
