What You’ll Do

• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supplier quality teams to identify and reduce product and process defects.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements for compliance.
• Investigate quality issues and lead/support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts using structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Whys, DMAIC).
• Evaluate nonconforming materials and recommend appropriate dispositions and corrective actions.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends and risks, and recommend process improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase quality, reliability, and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical quality concerns and clarify requirements.
• Review manufacturing processes and documentation during release and after engineering/process changes.
• Participate in new product introduction and design-for-manufacturing activities.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory quality audits and maintain accurate quality documentation and records.

Who You Are / Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Candidates at multiple experience levels are encouraged to apply — from entry-level (internships, co-op, hands-on manufacturing exposure) to experienced Quality Engineers.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience or exposure to quality methodologies such as FAI, RCCA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D, or 5 Whys is a plus.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or aerospace/defense quality requirements is highly desirable but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• LEAN or Six Sigma exposure is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• A genuine interest in quality, continuous improvement, and technical problem solving.
• Must be able to work on-site in Loehmanns Plaza, NY.

Compensation & Benefits

• Direct-hire role; base salary commensurate with experience: $70,000 - $100,000 per year.
