Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring multiple Quality Engineers for an onsite, direct-hire, full-time opportunity in Loehmanns Plaza, New York (NY). This role supports manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce defects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet customer and regulatory quality requirements. Multiple experience levels are welcome — from entry-level candidates with hands-on manufacturing exposure to experienced Quality Engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supplier quality to identify and reduce product and process defects
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements for compliance
- Investigate quality issues and lead/support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities
- Apply structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 Why, DMAIC and similar quality tools
- Evaluate nonconforming materials and recommend dispositions and corrective actions
- Analyze quality data, identify trends and risks, and drive improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and manufacturing performance
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and clarify technical requirements
- Participate in new product introduction and manufacturing process reviews
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory quality audits and maintain accurate quality documentation
Who You Are / Qualifications
We are hiring at multiple experience levels. You do not need every item below to be considered.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality Engineering, or related technical field preferred
- Entry-level candidates with internships, co-ops, or hands-on manufacturing experience encouraged to apply
- Experienced candidates with background in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supplier Quality also encouraged
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity or exposure to quality methodologies such as FAI, RCCA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D, or 5 Why is a plus
- Knowledge of AS9100 / aerospace & defense quality requirements is highly desirable but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- LEAN or Six Sigma exposure is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Commitment to continuous improvement and technical problem solving
- Must be able to work on site in Loehmanns Plaza, New York
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
