Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Quality Engineer I to support product and process quality activities in a manufacturing environment. This is an entry-level Quality Engineering position responsible for ensuring that products conform to established requirements, specifications, and quality standards through audit, inspection, testing, and evaluation activities.

The Quality Engineer I will interact with multiple functional departments, suppliers, and external experts to support and implement the Confidential Client’s quality objectives and ensure consistent product quality.

What You’ll Do

• Formulate procedures, specifications, and standards for product and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans.
• Collect, evaluate, and analyze data for gauge and product evaluation activities.
• Support the identification of critical personnel, gauges, procedures, and materials required for new product introductions.
• Ensure suppliers have necessary information, specifications, and facilities to deliver quality products.
• Support product quality through audit, inspection, and testing activities.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Build effective relationships with internal departments, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product and process quality.
• Complete quality activities within established timelines and project requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant Quality Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an alternative Bachelor’s degree with Quality Engineer certification (e.g., CQE).
• Experience supporting quality systems, product/manufacturing/engineering quality activities.
• Basic understanding of quality regulations and standards, including QSR and ISO requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage deadlines with a results-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
• Previous experience in the Medical Device industry.
• Experience with orthopedic medical device products and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with supplier quality and supplier management activities.

Work Arrangement & Pay

• Pay Rate: $40.00 – $42.00 per hour (W2)
