Quality Engineer

What You’ll Do
- Investigate customer-returned products to determine root cause.
- Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives and document outcomes.
- Review and process customer RMAs and related quality documentation.
- Supervise and coordinate a team of six final inspectors to ensure consistent inspection coverage.
- Oversee final inspection activities to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
- Represent Quality on the Material Review Board (MRB) and drive disposition decisions.
- Support AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI) and maintain required records.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and help implement audit findings.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce manufacturing defects and scrap.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Internship or hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing or comparable manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading CAPA, RMAs, and participating in FAIs (AS9102) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead inspection teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working on the production floor and in office settings; able to collaborate cross-functionally.

- Pay range: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (Contract-to-hire).
