What You’ll Do

Join a confidential client’s aerospace manufacturing team as a Quality Engineer (entry-level / early-career). You will be responsible for ensuring product and process quality across final inspection and production support activities. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Investigate customer-returned products and drive root-cause analysis.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track effectiveness.
  • Review and process customer RMAs and support disposition decisions on the Material Review Board (MRB).
  • Supervise and coach a small team of final inspectors (approx. 6 inspectors).
  • Oversee final inspection activities to ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Support AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI) and maintain inspection documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits and supplier-related activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and improve yields.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, and Operations to resolve quality issues quickly.

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who meet the core requirements below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Internship or coursework experience in aerospace manufacturing or a production environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with inspection methods, first article inspection (AS9102) and basic metrology.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, or similar).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective with cross-functional teams.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage inspection teams and documentation.

Workplace & Schedule

  • Location: Glendale, CA — fully onsite at an aerospace manufacturing facility.
  • Job type: Contract-to-hire (initial contractor assignment with conversion potential).
  • Schedule: Full-time, daytime production hours (may require occasional overtime to meet production or audit schedules).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (hourly range provided by the confidential client). Actual pay offered will depend on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.
