What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Quality Control Technician to support ready-mix concrete operations in Roseland, NJ. You will perform field and lab testing, interpret results, and work with operations to maintain product quality for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.

• Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process mixes, and finished ready-mix concrete using established industry methods.
• Interpret test data and compare results to specifications and control limits.
• Conduct visual inspections and document product compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.
• Provide quality-control guidance and training to production staff as directed.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, corrective actions, and quality activities.
• Monitor industry standards, technologies, and regulatory requirements and recommend process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome entry-level candidates and those with prior quality or materials experience. Confidential Client will provide on-the-job training.

• Willingness to work variable shifts to match scheduled pours (day and overnight).
• Entry-level candidates encouraged — on-the-job training provided.
• ACI certification or willingness to obtain ACI certification is a plus.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in quality control, QA, or construction materials is beneficial but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Effective verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently when needed.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); experience with quality-management software is a plus.
• Willingness to complete Confidential Client’s pre-employment screenings.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated pay: $60,318 per year (estimated annual figure provided by source).
• Hourly pay with overtime after 8 hours when applicable; eligibility for bonuses and annual raises.

• Consistent local work, no Sunday shifts; technicians are typically home after each shift.
