What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support product quality across development, manufacturing, and supplier networks. You will help ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards through inspections, data analysis, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory specifications
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and test protocols
- Conduct audits and inspections; identify and document non-conformances
- Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and drive improvements
- Support design and process reviews to ensure quality requirements are met
- Coordinate and support First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102 requirements
- Participate in supplier quality activities including supplier first-article review and on-site audits
- Support or lead internal, customer, and 3rd-party audits
- Provide training and quality guidance to production teams
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) required
- Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, root cause analysis, and CAPA
- Familiarity with aerospace and regulated-industry quality standards (AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001) preferred
- Experience with supplier quality, FAI, and MRB processes preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving ability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with inspection software (Net-Inspect, InspectionXpert, or similar) is a plus
- Quality certifications (CQE, CQA) a plus
Additional Requirements & Details
- This is a full-time, on-site position in Plainview, NY
- Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 annually
- Physical requirements: mix of walking on the manufacturing floor and desk work; occasional lifting up to 15 lbs
- This position involves work on projects subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment in this role.
