Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Quality Assurance Engineer I to support quality investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production and completion processes. This role works under the oversight of more senior QA staff and will follow established procedures (including 8D methodology) to ensure safe, conforming products for customers. SAP experience and familiarity with quality/supply chain transaction codes is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct and support investigations into known quality issues following departmental procedures and work instructions.
• Execute root-cause analysis and drive 8D corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Assign quality codes, clauses, and dispositions per engineering requirements and the quality assurance manual.
• Read and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints and bills of materials to verify conformance.
• Identify and complete process-improvement projects to increase quality and operational efficiency.
• Maintain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction through timely, accurate quality actions.
• Collaborate across disciplines (manufacturing, inspection, engineering, audit) to resolve nonconformances.
• Promote and maintain a FOD-free (foreign object debris) and continuous improvement culture.
• Follow and help develop policies, procedures and work instructions as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or a related technical field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong problem-definition, data collection and analysis skills; able to draw valid conclusions and recommend corrective actions.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Proficient computer skills and strong written and verbal English communication.
• Willingness to learn manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, special processes, inspection, etc.).

Preferred

• Experience with SAP and commonly used completions/production/supply-chain quality transaction codes.
• Familiarity with Lean / Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methods.
• ASQ CQE certification and/or experience acting as an FAA-recognized airworthiness designee.
• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License may substitute for degree when combined with required experience.
• Experience using 8D methodology and working with quality audits.
