What You’ll Do

The Quality Control (QC) Scientist I is an entry-level analytical role supporting a Confidential Client’s onsite QC laboratory. You will run routine and stability testing, support chromatography assays, and help maintain lab documentation and quality practices under moderate supervision.

  • Perform wet-bench and physical testing for raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability studies
  • Run chromatography assays (UPLC/HPLC, LC, GC, IC) and UV analyses with proper setup and calibration
  • Complete peer review of standards and reagents
  • Assist with laboratory investigations and troubleshoot instrument/testing issues
  • Update and help maintain SOPs, Test Notes, Work Instructions, and Job Aids
  • Participate in 5S and continuous improvement projects to increase lab efficiency
  • Follow GLP/GMP documentation practices and complete required trainings on time

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow written procedures including SOPs, test methods, product and raw material specifications, and pharmacopoeial methods
  • Execute chromatography and physical/wet-chemistry tests accurately and on schedule
  • Record and report results clearly; support peer review activities
  • Assist with non-conformance and laboratory investigations as required
  • Support document upkeep and revisions for lab controlled documents
  • Lead or support non-testing projects aimed at improving QC processes
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
  • 0–3 years of hands-on analytical testing experience (entry-level acceptable)
  • 0–2 years of chromatography experience (HPLC/UPLC, GC, etc.) preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience or ability to work with laboratory systems such as LIMS and Empower

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with LIMS applications and Empower chromatography software
  • Exposure to SAP or other enterprise systems
  • Practical understanding of problem-solving tools (Fishbone, 5 Whys)
  • Strong documentation discipline aligned with GMP/GLP principles
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and collaborate in team settings

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges: $61,880.00 - $87,360.00

This range reflects factors including work location, skills, experience, and education. Additional total rewards may include bonus (if applicable) and benefits. Typical benefits include:
