What You’ll Do
The QC Scientist I (entry-level) will perform routine and moderately complex analytical testing and lab support activities in a regulated quality control laboratory. Working onsite in Lime Rock, PA, you will follow established methods and procedures to generate reliable data that supports product quality and release.
Key responsibilities:
- Follow all required procedures (SOPs, test methods, product and raw material specifications, pharmacopoeia methods).
- Perform basic wet-bench and physical testing (e.g., appearance, pH, density, viscosity where applicable).
- Run chromatography assays (UPLC/LC, GC, IC) and UV analyses per test methods.
- Peer-review standards and reagent preparations.
- Support upkeep and revision of laboratory documentation (test notes, SOPs, work instructions, job aids).
- Participate in lab investigations and non-conformance activities as needed.
- Troubleshoot instrument and testing issues and escalate when required.
- Support lab continuous improvement projects and the 5S program.
- Maintain GLP-style documentation and complete required trainings on time.

Required Qualifications
- Science-related bachelor’s degree (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, analytical science).
- 0–3 years analytical testing experience (entry-level acceptable).
- 0–2 years chromatography experience preferred (UPLC/LC/GC/IC).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using laboratory applications such as LIMS and Empower.
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with a LIMS application.
- Familiarity with Empower chromatography software.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Experience with problem-solving tools (Fishbone, 5 Whys).
- Understanding of GMP and documentation best practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively in a team lab environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:
- $61,880.00 – $87,360.00 (range provided by our client; final offer depends on skills, experience, and other job-related factors)
