What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry‑level QC Lab Technician to support quality control testing and laboratory operations at the Loehmanns Plaza, NY site. You will help ensure product quality, safety, and consistency by performing analytical tests, maintaining records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
- Maintain accurate, audit‑ready records of test results in line with internal and regulatory requirements
- Operate, maintain, and assist with calibration checks on laboratory instruments and equipment
- Prepare reagents, standards, and samples following established methods and SOPs
- Identify deviations, support root cause investigations, and collaborate on corrective actions
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental procedures and promote safe laboratory practices
- Help maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and compliance for audits
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and R&D teams on continuous improvement activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline
- Laboratory experience is valued — internships, academic research, co‑ops, or industry experience
- Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to generate accurate, reliable data
- Basic computer skills and experience with laboratory documentation or data systems
- Effective communication and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Schedule & Location
- Location: Loehmanns Plaza, New York (NY), US
- This position operates on a rotating shift schedule: 2 day shifts → 2 night shifts → 4 days off. Candidates must be comfortable working both day and night rotations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $22.00–$26.00 per hour (actual pay will depend on experience, education, and other permitted, non-discriminatory factors)
