What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level to early-career Quality Control (QC) role focused on wet chemistry and feed analysis in a GMP environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Perform routine wet chemistry and analytical testing (e.g., sieve analysis, loss on drying, thin layer chromatography).
- Support feed analysis workflows: receive, log, grind, weigh, dilute and prepare customer samples.
- Operate and assist with analytical instruments and methods including HPLC and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and samples following established procedures.
- Record results and observations accurately in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems in compliance with GMP/GDP.
- Support laboratory throughput and peak-volume periods while maintaining quality and data integrity.
- Maintain a clean, inspection-ready lab and follow all safety and SOP requirements.
- Collaborate with lab leadership and cross-functional teams; learn new methods and instruments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or closely related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on laboratory experience from coursework, undergraduate research, internships, co-ops, or industry roles.
- Strong attention to detail and proven ability to document lab data accurately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated laboratory environment.
- Solid communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain data integrity in GMP/GDP environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience or coursework with HPLC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, TLC, column chromatography, FTIR, or titrations.
- Prior exposure to GMP-regulated labs and laboratory documentation practices (GMP/GDP).
- Experience with chromatography data systems (e.g., Empower) or similar data capture tools.
- Previous QC, research, internship, or laboratory assistant experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour (hourly pay within this range will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors).
