What you will do
As a QC Analyst 1 you will support Quality Control activities focused on microbiological testing and environmental monitoring to help ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical products. Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform environmental monitoring and sampling for utility and HVAC systems across the Portsmouth facility
- Conduct routine microbiological testing on in-process samples, final product lot release, and stability samples
- Record, process, and review testing data using laboratory computer systems and standard office software
- Maintain strict compliance with cGMP and Data Integrity principles across documentation and lab workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Quality Control and Manufacturing to resolve technical issues
- Recognize deviations from accepted practice and assist in investigations and corrective actions
What we are looking for
We encourage entry-level candidates as well as those with early-career experience. Required and preferred qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related scientific field preferred
- 0–4 years of experience in Quality Control or a laboratory environment (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
- Practical familiarity with environmental monitoring, HVAC/utility sampling, or microbiology test methods preferred
- Knowledge of cGMP compliance and Data Integrity principles in a regulated environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and familiarity with laboratory information systems
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with careful attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to production schedule needs
