Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level QA Software Testers (0–3 years experience) to join engineering and QA teams supporting web and API products. This is a full-time role based in Indianapolis, IN (46204) with remote/hybrid opportunities depending on the specific employer placement. The role offers a competitive salary range of $83,000–$86,000 per year and may include benefits, performance bonuses, and career-development support.


What You May Work On

  • Manual software testing and exploratory testing
  • Writing, maintaining, and executing test cases and test plans
  • Functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects (clear reproduction steps)
  • Working in Jira and Agile/Scrum team environments
  • API and database validation (basic SQL/API checks)
  • Basic automation testing and exposure to automation frameworks
  • Collaborating with QA, development, and business stakeholders

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Strong interest in Software Testing / Quality Assurance
  • 0–3 years of related experience (recent grads and career changers encouraged)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, test cases, and defect reporting preferred
  • Familiarity with manual testing concepts; exposure to Jira, SQL, API testing, or automation is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
  • Willingness to complete a technical readiness assessment when requested
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required for all opportunities

Optional Training & Placement Support (If Needed)

Candidates who demonstrate strong aptitude but need technical preparation may be eligible for an optional, paid QA Training & Placement Support Program before employer placement. Topics may include:

  • Manual testing fundamentals and test-case design
  • Selenium and basic automation (Java or language-appropriate bindings)
  • API testing techniques and tools
  • SQL for testers and basic database validation
  • CI basics (Jenkins), Git/GitHub workflows
  • Modern test automation frameworks (Playwright/Cypress) and AI-assisted QA tools
