What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an early-career Public Relations and Communication Coordinator to support project communications on-site in Cameron, LA. You will help execute stakeholder engagement, content creation, internal communications, and event coordination so project teams and local communities receive clear, consistent information.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support stakeholder mapping activities and maintain stakeholder contact databases
  • Draft, edit, and distribute communication materials such as newsletters, fact sheets, presentations, and project updates
  • Assist with content creation: articles, photography, basic video assets, and digital posts
  • Maintain communication calendars and schedules; coordinate internal communications and employee engagement initiatives
  • Support planning and logistics for community meetings, town halls, and project events
  • Help identify and use effective channels to reach target audiences and track outreach outcomes
  • Organize and maintain communication assets, including photo libraries and project materials

Compliance & Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensure communication materials comply with Confidential Client branding and communication guidelines
  • Review content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency prior to distribution
  • Keep organized records of communication activities and stakeholder interactions
  • Support communications tied to project milestones, community initiatives, and events
  • Coordinate with local agencies and project functions (HSE, Quality, Compliance, Operations) on communication needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling project communications

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, community relations, event coordination, or related roles (relevant internships, campus leadership, and volunteer work count)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with diverse audiences
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

  • Internship or project experience in corporate communications, PR, marketing, or community engagement
  • Experience creating content for newsletters, websites, or social media platforms
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, or basic video production tools
  • Event planning or community outreach experience
  • Interest in infrastructure, industrial, energy, or engineering-related projects
