What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is building a pool of qualified part-time clinical instructors to support the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program. Clinical assignments are typically delivered in six- or eight-week blocks and commonly require a two-day-per-week clinical commitment. As a clinical instructor you will:

• Teach clinical nursing courses for the ADN program (clinicals only)
• Develop and implement learner-centered clinical instruction and evaluation
• Use educational technology and alternative delivery methods as appropriate (hybrid/face-to-face)
• Assess and document student performance, provide timely grades, and maintain required records
• Advise and support students with coursework, clinical performance, and professional development
• Participate in department in-service training and other development activities
• Maintain instructor competencies aligned with the Faculty Quality Assurance System
• Collaborate with clinical partners and healthcare settings to coordinate student placements

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred where noted). Unrestricted RN license, or ability to obtain a Wisconsin RN license if currently licensed elsewhere
• Minimum of two (2) years (4000 hours) of related RN clinical experience
• AND one of the following:
  • Currently enrolled in a nursing graduate program, OR
  • Graduate-level coursework related to clinical best practices, OR
  • Other clinical education in best practices, OR
  • National certification in the specialty area you will teach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse student populations
• Experience or comfort using educational technology and alternative delivery methods
• Ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery

Role Details

• Employment type: Part-time (per-course/adjunct basis)
• Assignment pattern: Clinical blocks (commonly 6–8 weeks), varying days/times; day/evening/weekend possible
• Estimated annualized compensation (for comparison): $68,233 per year — estimated (actual pay is on a per-course basis)
• Reports to: Associate Dean – School of Nursing
