What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring for a Protective Services Caseworker to protect and empower older adults through investigations, care planning, and service coordination. This role combines office work, field visits, and collaboration with community partners and legal systems.
- Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exploitation received under the Older Adults Protective Services Act (OAPSA).
- Complete thorough assessments and investigations to identify imminent risk.
- Develop individualized care plans and arrange services to eliminate or reduce risk in the least restrictive manner.
- Conduct home visits and in-person interviews with older adults, caregivers, and collateral contacts.
- Coordinate services with community providers, healthcare professionals, and legal/advocacy partners.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and case records; prepare reports required for agency and legal processes.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and community outreach as needed.
- Work occasional nontraditional hours (evenings/weekends) when required by case needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum qualifications and requirements reflect the role’s responsibilities and legal/clearance expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Minimum two years’ experience in public or private social work involving comprehensive and/or psychosocial assessments; OR a licensed Registered Nurse with two years of relevant experience (home health or comprehensive functional/psychosocial assessments preferred).
- Preferred: One year of experience at Caseworker I level within an Area Agency on Aging Services Program.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and appropriate auto insurance for daily use.
- Required clearances prior to employment: Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance, and National Sex Offender Registry check (current within 90 days), plus Motor Vehicle Record check.
- At least one year of experience using personal computer hardware in a networked environment and Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, Excel).
- Physical and mental ability to perform essential duties: sit/stand for visits, climb stairs, lift/carry up to 20 lbs, access residences that may be inaccessible, and have hearing/vision (corrected or uncorrected) within normal ranges.
- Clear speaking voice and professional communication skills.
- Willingness to work nontraditional hours (evenings/weekends) as assigned.
Compensation
- Pay rate: $28.45 per hour (hourly rate disclosed in source posting).
