What You’ll Do
This entry-level to early-career Proposal & Marketing Assistant role supports pursuit and marketing work for public-sector transportation and infrastructure projects. You will help produce high-quality proposals, maintain pursuit records, and support marketing coordination across multiple offices.
- Assist in coordination, preparation, and production of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other pursuit-related materials
- Review RFPs/RFQs for submission requirements, deadlines, and compliance criteria
- Support proposal scheduling, document assembly, proofreading, and quality-control checks
- Perform marketing database and CRM data entry: track opportunities, go/no-go decisions, wins, and losses
- Create and maintain project profiles, staff résumés, and marketing collateral
- Research public-sector bid opportunities via agency sites, procurement portals, and trade publications
- Coordinate with engineers, technical staff, administrative personnel, and subconsultants to collect content and ensure timely submissions
- Support administrative marketing functions: filing, document management, and organization
- Build and maintain positive working relationships across the organization and assist business development initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn proposal development and A/E/C business development processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field preferred
- 0–3 years of experience in proposal support, marketing, communications, administration, research, or project coordination
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, research, and organizational skills
- Interest in learning RFP/RFQ structure, proposal compliance, and pursuit processes
- Previous A/E/C or public-sector experience (especially NJ transportation agencies) is a plus
- Experience maintaining databases, documentation, or project records is helpful

- Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and opportunity-tracking tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Compensation & Schedule
- Estimated base salary: $53,704 per year (estimated)
- Employment type: Full-time, Permanent
- Work location: Bridgewater, NJ (on-site / regional office support)
