Overview

This opportunity supports a Confidential Client managing a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties in Oak Lawn, IL. The Property Management Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and financial performance across multiple local properties. This is a full-time, on-site role with regular local travel between properties.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong tenant relations to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Manage lease agreements, renewals, and ensure compliance with lease terms
  • Coordinate property maintenance, inspections, and timely repairs
  • Oversee budgeting, expense control, and financial reporting for properties
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service procurement
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal property regulations and standards
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a small team (typically 1–5 staff)
  • Prepare and deliver regular operational and financial reports to ownership

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Entry-level to early-career experience in property management or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related discipline preferred
  • Real Estate Broker license: not required to start; must obtain within the first year (per client policy)
  • Familiarity with property-management software (e.g., Yardi or MRI) preferred
  • Experience with lease administration and maintenance coordination
  • Strong budgeting, accounting literacy, and financial reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong tenant-relations skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and local housing/property rules
  • Reliable transportation for local travel between managed properties

Compensation & Logistics

  • Estimated base salary: $76,005 per year (estimated). Actual pay may vary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Regular local travel to multiple properties is required.
  • Employment type: Full-time.
