Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Property Associate to support day-to-day operations for an office property or small portfolio in Richmond, VA. This entry-level, on-site role provides administrative, tenant-relations, and basic accounting support for commercial property management. This opening is listed as a Full Time contract role.
Compensation & Schedule
$27.88 - $29.81 per hour (estimated total compensation range)
Expected schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What You’ll Do
- Provide exceptional tenant customer service: respond to inquiries, process service requests, and coordinate resolution of maintenance issues.
- Support property management with administrative tasks: data entry, document preparation, record-keeping, and database updates.
- Process basic financial tasks: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), code invoices, handle certificates of insurance (COIs), and assist with invoice routing.
- Coordinate vendors and manage work orders to ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
- Prepare monthly reports, financial summaries, and property performance updates for senior management and clients.
- Assist with lease administration tasks including tenant move‑ins, document filing, and communications.
- Support tenant engagement: assist with tenant events, building communications, and community initiatives.
- Provide backup reception and mail distribution support and perform general office duties as needed.
- Perform other duties required to comply with Property Management Agreements and local ordinances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Communications, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of office experience; experience in commercial real estate or property management is preferred.
- 1–2 years of customer-facing or customer service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to grow within the commercial real estate/property management industry.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.
Work location & requirements
- On-site presence required — Richmond, VA (local candidates or those able to commute are preferred).
- This role is posted as Full Time (Contractor) and requires regular on-site attendance per the posted schedule.
