What You’ll Do
This contract position supports day-to-day property operations and administrative activities for a commercial property in Richmond, VA. You will work closely with the property management team to provide excellent tenant service, accurate financial and administrative support, and coordinated vendor/maintenance follow-up.
- Deliver responsive tenant support — answer questions, log service requests, and help drive timely resolutions.
- Perform accurate data entry, prepare documents, and maintain tenant and property records and internal databases.
- Handle routine financial tasks: code invoices, process accounts payable/receivable items, and review insurance certificates.
- Coordinate with vendors and monitor work orders to help ensure maintenance and repairs are completed on schedule.
- Assist in preparing recurring property updates, financial summaries, and management reports.
- Support lease administration tasks including tenant onboarding and organized filing.
- Help plan and execute tenant communications and building notices or events that improve occupant experience.
- Provide front-desk coverage, mail handling, and general office support as needed.
- Take on additional operational duties to support regulatory compliance and efficient site performance.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, communications, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years’ office experience; commercial real estate or property management experience preferred.
- 1–2 years’ customer-facing or service-oriented experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional interaction with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
- Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable in an entry-level property management role.
- Familiarity with accounts payable/accounts receivable, invoice coding, or insurance documentation preferred.
- Experience with Yardi is a plus but not required.

- Estimated pay (source): $42,894 per year — estimated
