Overview
This listing is for a Property Associate role supporting a confidential client in commercial real estate/property management. This is an on-site, entry-level contract position based in Manhattan, NY. The role offers hands-on exposure to property operations, tenant relations, and financial administration — a strong launchpad for a career in commercial property management.
What You’ll Do
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants by responding to inquiries, processing service requests, and coordinating resolution of maintenance issues.
- Support the property management team with administrative duties: data entry, document preparation, and maintaining property records and databases.
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), review certificates of insurance (COIs), code invoices, and assist with other financial tasks.
- Coordinate with vendors and help manage work orders to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs.
- Help prepare monthly reports, financial summaries, and property performance updates for senior management and clients.
- Support lease administration tasks including tenant move-ins, document filing, and communications coordination.
- Assist with tenant events, building communications, and community engagement initiatives to enhance tenant experience.
- Provide backup support for reception duties, mail distribution, and general office operations as needed.
- Perform other duties required to comply with Property Management Agreements or local ordinances to ensure smooth property operations.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Communications, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of office experience; prior experience in commercial real estate or property management is preferred.
- 1–2 years of customer service or customer-facing experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to grow within the commercial real estate industry.
- On-site presence required in Manhattan, NY.
- This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected salary range: $59,000 – $70,000 USD per year (final compensation depends on qualifications, location, and internal factors).
- Benefits may include: 401(k) with match, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, paid parental leave, paid time off and holidays, and early access to earned wages (Daily Pay). Exact benefits depend on the hiring client’s policies.
