Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an early-career Project Scheduler to support planning, scheduling, and execution of industrial construction and millwright projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients to develop and maintain schedules, monitor progress, identify schedule risks, and help keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and field teams to collect milestones, resource needs, and schedule updates.
• Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and identify variances.
• Flag potential delays, scheduling conflicts, and critical-path impacts; communicate issues to project leadership.
• Assist with schedule development during bidding, planning, and execution phases.
• Produce weekly and monthly schedule reports for internal teams and clients.
• Track milestones, deliverables, labor allocations, and equipment requirements.
• Support forecasting and schedule-recovery planning as needed.
• Document schedule-related action items and maintain accurate scheduling records.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align timelines.
• Contribute to improvements in scheduling processes, reporting tools, and project-controls procedures.
• Support multiple projects concurrently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Travel regularly to active project sites to verify progress and gather updates (approx. 50% travel).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Internship experience or up to 5 years of relevant experience in construction, scheduling, project controls, or engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project is required.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction schedules, project plans, and documentation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn industrial construction and millwright operations, and work collaboratively with field teams and subcontractors.

Compensation & Logistics

• Base salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
• Employment type: Full-time, salaried exempt (direct hire).
• Location: Roebuck, SC — local candidates only. Must be willing and able to work from the Roebuck office and travel approximately 50% to project sites throughout the Southeast and other locations as required.
• Work environment: Combination of office work and regular field/site visits.
• Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
