Overview
Confidential Client (Manufacturing) is hiring a Project Manager Trainee in West End, PA. This is a mentored, hands-on position designed to develop the skills needed to manage construction and mechanical/HVAC/fire-protection projects. You will work closely with an assigned Project Manager mentor to support planning, scheduling, cost tracking and daily operations across multiple projects.
What You’ll Do
You will assist the Project Manager mentor and the project team to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and in compliance with client and company standards.
- Accurately define project requirements
- Assist with creating and updating job schedules
- Coordinate delivery of tools, materials, and fabrication
- Identify and track personnel assignments and labor efficiency
- Attend job progress meetings and support change order and billing processes
- Learn to estimate remaining cost-to-complete for monthly WIP reporting
- Help manage day-to-day project operations to meet time and budget targets
- Work directly with clients to develop practical, customized solutions
- Ensure projects follow established efficiency and safety guidelines
- Read and analyze job-cost reports and related project documentation
- Respond promptly to management inquiries
- Support collections and administrative project tasks as required
Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate or currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's program (Construction Management or related field) — required
- Knowledge of sprinkler systems/plumbing and prior construction internship or experience is a plus
- Significant experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is required
- Experience with MS Project or other scheduling tools is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and deliver timely, accurate results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to company values

Computer Skills
